Ben Nichols of Lucero, Nate Hall of Old Heavy Hands, and Oliver Peck - Bikeriders Western Ride - Mohawk Austin - August 16th, 2018.
Even if she likes the Beatles and you like the Stones, there's a pretty good chance you'll both enjoy William Clark Green. I had the opportunity to catch the Texas troubadour live at the Bastrop Homecoming & Rodeo this weekend, and I have to say: William Clark Green flew under my radar for far too long.
By the time Green took the stage, the party was already keyed up from the soulful sounds of the spirited Peterson Brothers.
THE PETERSON BROTHERS - MAYFEST HILL - 8/4/2018
Exploding into his first few numbers, Green was visibly feeding off of the energy of the crowd and his fellow band members. And it didn't stop. The group roamed the stage throughout the performance, constantly moving and interacting with the audience and with each other. I've been around live music my entire life, and I was floored by the talent and chemistry that this band displayed. If you haven't looked into William Clark Green yet, do yourself a favor and give him a listen. It's Texas country, done absolutely right.
